Haylen, Jo to the Minister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Disability Services
  1. Have residents and families at the Summer Hill Centre been promised the same level of staffing by registered nurses and other clinical staff, considering the significant medical needs of residents?
    1. In what way is this promise being guaranteed by the Department of Family and Community Services?
  2. What options will parents have to complain or hold the successful tenderer to account for this promise?
Answer -

(1) and (2) During the transfer of services from the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) to non-government providers, our highest priority is maintaining the standard of care and ongoing support of residents and clients. This is reflected in continuity of service commitments with non-government organisation providers.

Information about complaints handling is available at www.ndis.gov.au.
