  1. Will the Government invest in domestic recyclers to help guarantee local solutions to the impending crisis in kerbside recycling?
  2. How is the Government working with community organisations in waste management - including Reverse Garbage, the Bower Reuse and Repair Cafe and others - to improve reuse of materials?
  3. Is the Government considering amending its procurement rules to encourage greater use of recycled materials and aggregate in major projects such as roadbuilding or pipe-laying?

  1. The Government's $47.25 million support package announced in March 2018, supports local councils and industry to maintain ongoing kerbside recycling services across New South Wales.   2. The Government supports the work of community organisations to increase material reuse through several programs funded by the nine-year, $802.7 million Waste Less, Recycle More initiative.   3. The Government has established an inter-governmental taskforce to work in partnership with industry and councils to progress a longer-term response to National Sword.
