  2. Will this residual land be returned to the community as legacy land at the conclusion of construction for the M4-M5 project?

    1. If not, what will be the proposed future use of the sites?

  4. Why did the RMS purchase the Muirs sites when it is unclear what is required in Haberfield and Ashfield for the M4-M5 Link project?

Answer -

I am advised:

(1) Roads and Maritime purchased the land by agreement with the owners. This information is available from Land and Registry Services.

(2) and (3) Use of residual land will be determined in the M4-M5 Link Residual Land Management Plan and the M4-M5 Link's Urban Design and Landscaping Plan, pursuant to the planning approval for the M4-M5 Link.

(4) Roads and Maritime Services identified it as a potential construction site for the M4-M5 Link. Further, the owners of the site expressed concerns as to the shallow nature of the subsurface acquisitions. The site will be used in accordance with the conditions of approval issued by the Minister for Planning on 17 April 2018.
