Answer -

During the period 1 January 2016 to 31 August 2016, on average approximately 1000 customers attended the Macarthur Service Centre each business day. Service NSW tracks average customer wait times and during the period 1 January 2016 to 31 August 2016, the average customer wait time was approximately 5 minutes. During peak periods and higher demand for services, customer wait times can increase.

As at 31 August 2016, 40 staff members (32.55 FTE) were employed at Macarthur Service Centre. In accordance with the Service NSW (Salaries and Conditions) Employees Award 2016, all staff work a rotating roster which may include Saturdays.

Total numbers for the specified transactions including the percentage compared to the total number of transactions completed at the Macarthur Service Centre between 1 January and 31 August 2016:

  • Driver and rider licence renewals – over 22,900 (11 per cent)

  • New (first time) car registrations – over 6,900 (3 per cent)

  • Car registration transfers – over 19,200 (9 per cent)

  • Driver knowledge tests – over 5,500 (3 per cent)
