- Does data obtained by the Environment Protection Agency during studies on
the emission of heavy vehicles, including B-doubles, on public roads impact
upon government policy in relation to the movement of heavy vehicles in

Answer -

The Commonwealth Government is responsible for setting the emissions
standards for light and heavy vehicles.
The Government is committed to reducing emissions from motor vehicles and
continues to work with the Commonwealth Government to implement cleaner fuels
and cleaner vehicles through a range of programs and initiatives. Environment
Protection Authority data shows that total emissions from the Sydney vehicle
fleet have reduced over the last 20 years, and are projected to continue to
reduce in the future.
