With regard to the Eastlakes shopping centre development application:
- What was the detail of discussions held between officers of the Department
and the proponent?
- What information was communicated by the Department to the proponent?
- Did the Department indicate in any way to the proponent what should be
contained in the application?
- Has the Minister investigated the matters I have personally conveyed to him
in relation to the handling of the application?

- These discussions were related to either the assessment process or the
assessment of the merits of the proposal.
- The Department communicated with the Proponent on a range of matters
relating to either the assessment process or the assessment of the merits of
the proposal.
- The Department had no role in determining what should be contained in the
application.
- I am advised that all processes have been conducted in accordance with the
policies of the Department.
