6405 - SYDNEY TRAIN FARE BRACKETS

Hoenig, Ron to the Minister for Transport, and Minister for the Hunter

Will the Minister reassess the criteria for the 10-20 kilometre fare bracket for trains given that all City stations other than Central fall just outside the 10 kilometre range from Tempe Railway Station resulting in an additional $25 per month for commuters from Tempe to the City?

Answer -

The Government is committed to improving public transport services and providing a world-class transport system people want to use. We have committed to keep fares low for customers as we continue to make improvements across public transport.
