I am advised:
On 24 April 2024, Transport for NSW invited qualified organisations to formally register their interest to design and construct the M5 Westbound Traffic Upgrade project in a two-step procurement.
On 18 October 2024, Transport for NSW invited shortlisted organisations to tender bids in this second stage. The Request for Tender closed on 21 February 2025 and Transport for NSW are currently assessing tender bids.
It is anticipated that the Project will be awarded its major works contract around mid-2025, with construction expected to commence in early 2026, pending the finalisation of the contract.
