That this House:
(1) Questions why the Government is planning to pull down Explorer Street public housing in Eveleigh and privatise 70 percent of this publicly owned land.
(2) Rejects the Communities Plus Formula which is based on a cost neutral formula which does not invest real funds into the provision of social housing.
(3) Calls on the Government to maintain, improve and increase public, social and affordable housing on public land without privatising any part of publicly owned land or property.
The Parliament of New South Wales acknowledges and respects the traditional lands of all Aboriginal people, and pays respects to all Elders past and present. We acknowledge the Gadigal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which the Parliament of New South Wales stands.
