(1) The Department of Education does not promote or endorse lobby groups.
(2) Individual schools are bound by the Department's policy and guidelines on how they manage relationships with businesses. This includes ensuring there is no endorsement of any product or service, and the suitability of organisations.
(3) The Department is not aware of any agreements with fossil fuel industry lobby groups.
(4) Students have a number of opportunities to learn about pollution and extraction industries as examples of human impacts on the land through the Geography K-10 syllabus. Specifically, the Stage 4 topic Landscapes and Landforms and the Stage 5 topics Sustainable Biomes and Environment Change and Management allow teachers to explore these issues with students in a variety of contexts as appropriate.
(5) The Department does not endorse or recommend specific resources or external education programs; the decision to use any products or services are made by teachers to suit their context and community.
