Why don't Sheriff's Officers have access to the Computerised Operational Policing System (COPS) where appropriate to enable them to carry out their duties?

Although COPS is the property of the NSW Police Force, Sheriff's Officers can receive relevant information from COPS through the NSW Police Force regarding a person of interest.
