125. (1) A copy of every petition lodged with the Clerk and received by
the House shall be referred by the Clerk to the Minister responsible for the
administration of the matter which is the subject of the petition.
(2) The Minister must lodge a response with the Clerk within 35 calendar days
of a petition being received by the House if that petition has been signed by
500 or more persons.
(3) The receipt of the response shall be reported to the House by the Clerk and
a copy of the response sent to the Member who lodged the petition. The response
will also be published.
