To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly,
We the petitioners seek to bring to your attention the senseless deaths of Alina Kauffman and Ernesto Salazar, aged 24 and 15, on the evening of September 1 in Heckenberg by a disqualified driver.
The charges the driver faces of Aggravated Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death carry a maximum penalty of imprisonment for 14 years.
We the petitioners request that the NSW Government consider increasing the maximum penalties for serious road crimes.
