Inquiry into Infrastructure Delivery and Maintenance - Building Maintenance Management

The inquiry was established to examine the provision of best practice Building Maintenance Services in both private and public sector, and the applicability of these models to the NSW public sector
Resolution passed 8 Septamber 1999, Minutes No 14. To examine the provision of best practice Building Maintenance Services in both private and public sector, and the applicability of these models to the NSW public sector. In particular, the inquiry will address: Examples of building maintenance services for particular property types that are consistent with the Government services objectives: have reduced unnecessary bureaucracy and real costs; and produced quality work on time and on budget; The strategies and allocations of resources by each agency or body for those maintenance services, whether provided in–house or by outside expertise; The application of government policies; and · Any other relevant matter.
