Join us for a special free lecture marking the 110th anniversary of the unveiling of the memorial to Lieutenant-Colonel George Frederick Braund and Sergeant Rennix Larkin in the Legislative Assembly Chamber.

This event explores the stories of the 11 active members of the Assembly who served in the First World War. The lecture will discuss:

  • The outbreak of WWI and the call to serve
  • The enlistment of members of the Legislative Assembly
  • The tragic deaths of Braund and Larkin at Gallipoli
  • The unveiling of the memorial plaque that honours their legacy
