NAIDOC Week event

​Join a program of 'drop-in' activities organised and developed by the New South Wales Aboriginal Education Consultative Group in association with Parliamentary Education​.

Focused on the theme of Songlines, children between the ages 5 -12 years will learn about the connection between people and country, how Songlines have been passed down for thousands of years and are therefore central to the preservation of the Aboriginal Culture.

Participate in storytelling and learn some Dharawal Language, weave with Lamandra Grass, experience Aboriginal art and crafts, play the didgeridoo and try Aboriginal dance.

On view in the Fountain Court is the 2016 MAX Employment National Indigenous Art Exhibition featuring works from the twenty finalists of the MAX National Indigenous Art Competition. This exhibition will be on view until 21 July 2016.

The Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council Chambers will be open to the public between 12.30 – 2.00 pm.

This is a free event for children and adults.
