There is ramp and lift access from the Macquarie Street entrance to Reception on level 7. There are accessible public toilets on levels 6 and 7 at Parliament House.

The nearest train stations are Martin Place and St James. The nearest Metro station is Martin Place.

Ferries arrive at Circular Quay, which is a 10 to 15-minute walk away.

Buses run on Macquarie, Elizabeth and Castlereagh Streets, close to NSW Parliament House.

Coaches and buses can drop-off and pick-up at the bus stop outside the State Library on Macquarie Street, otherwise there is no parking or stopping on Macquarie Street.

Bicycles may not be brought inside NSW Parliament House, however there are nearby parking facilities where bicycles may be secured. These include Goulburn Street car park and 178B George Street, Sydney.

Public car parking is not available at NSW Parliament House. Nearby car parks are located at:

  • Cathedral St Car Park: entry via Cathedral St
  • Wilson Parking: 131 Macquarie Street, Sydney

  • Sydney Hospital (next door to Parliament House): entry via Hospital Road

Can I go on a tour of NSW Parliament House?

Free guided tours take place every Monday and on non-sitting Fridays at 1:30pm. During NSW school holidays, tours run every weekday at both 11:30am and 1:30pm. Please note, there are no tours on public holidays. Learn more about our tours.

Can I dine at NSW Parliament House?

If you're looking for a quick bite, the Long Bell Cafe is a great option. You can also enjoy a unique fine dining experience at Strangers’ Restaurant, open weekdays for lunch and offering high tea most Fridays.
