The Bicentenary Concert Series returns for 2024 with a series of six free lunchtime concerts to be held in NSW Parliament's Fountain Court.
The 2024 Bicentenary of the NSW Legislative Council is a chance to reflect on our past, celebrate our progress and imagine our future. At each concert, musicians from the Sydney Youth Orchestras, Sydney Conservatorium of Music and other talented organisations and groups will play a selection of pieces ranging from classical through to contemporary movements.
You are invited to join us at NSW Parliament House to watch, listen and be inspired by classical music against the backdrop of Australia's oldest parliament.
The next concert will be held on May 15, book your place online but walk-ins are also welcome.
Performers
On May 15 we will hear from five young performers from Sydney Youth Orchestras:
- Kara Thorpe - flute
- Gahyun Lee - oboe
- Aiden Love - clarinet
- Nathan Marjoram - bassoon
- Benjamin Hans-Rosenbaum - French horn
