This paper presents data from the 2021 Census of Population and Housing for the 93 NSW State Electoral Divisions (SEDs) as redistributed in 2021. Each SED is profiled with details of population and other selected variables across nine areas of interest. For each variable the following information is provided from the 2021 and 2016 censuses (where 2016 data is available):

  • A count of persons, families, or dwellings
  • The count expressed as a percentage of the total electoral division population, or a subset of that population
  • The electorate's rank in relation to all electorates (which for most variables is calculated based on the percentage).

A political party affiliation has been provided for each electorate based on the March 2023 NSW election.

Interactive Tables: Compare NSW electorates by census variable

These 10 interactive tables show data for all NSW electorates by the same 94 census variables. The data can be sorted by clicking on table headings, and filtered by political party or region using buttons or the search box.

Regional averages for each variable are included at the bottom of each page.

NSW Electorate Profiles: 2016 Census

Dwellings and transport

Data from the 2016 Census presented by NSW electorates as redistributed in 2021. A background paper profiles each electorate using data from the 2016 Census and 2011 Census (where available). A companion paper allows easy comparison of electorates by presenting the same data ranked by census variables.
