Son of Peter Francis Connor, labourer, and Ethel Deegan. Married Grace Amelia Searl on 14 August 1931 and had issue, 3 daughters. Buried in Lakeside Memorial Park at Dapto from St Francis Xavier's Roman Catholic Cathedral at Wollongong. Cousin of Kevin Dwyer (q. v)

Garage proprieter. Educated at Wollongong High School; completed law articles; general dealer, garage proprieter and motor agent at Wollongong from 1931 until 1941; general agent and farmer, 32 acre property at Figtree from 1941until 1950; member of Miscellaneous Workers and Shop Assistants Union; life member of Miners Federation; councillor at University at Wollongong; president of Illawarra Naturalists Society; national crusader against further foreign acquisition of Australian energy and mineral resources.
