Notes: Former Premier Tom Lewis resigned before the election, his vacancy being a justification for bringing on an early election. Labor won this seat, had won Earlwood at an earlier by-election and defeated Liberal Leader Peter Coleman in Fuller, producing the situation where Labor now held the seats of the last three Liberal Party leaders.
