Notes: Ernest Durack had gained Bathurst for Labor in 1913. He was elected Labor Leader when Holman defected, but resigned shortly before the election and then chose not to contest the 1917 election. The Farmer and Settler listed Sullivan as an Independent Labor candidate, but this was not repeated in the city papers.
