Notes: The SMH listed Fletcher as an Independent Liberal in its first list of nominations, an affiliation used in Hughes and Graham (1975). In the SMH list of selected Liberal candidates (14 October p.3), Fletcher was listed as a Liberal, as he was in the Daily Telegraph. Rydon, Span and Nelson, 1910 chronicle, references in footnote 57, states Fletcher was endorsed by the Liberal and Reform Association and also received the support of the Farmers and Settlers Association.
