Notes: Local Labor Leagues objected to Daley being re-endorsed and formed a new league which endorsed Alderman George McIvor. He died before the election and the breakaway Labor branches backed John Norton. (Rydon, Spann and Nelson, 1907 chronicle) The SMH therefore listed Norton as an Independent Labor candidate, but the Independent affiliation listed by the Daily Telegraph and used here seems more appropriate given Norton's political history.
