Notes: Chandler has been classified as an Independent barring further information to resolve conflicting sources. Chandler was listed as a selected Free Trade candidate in the SMH 22 July, but is missing from George Reid's letter listing his preferred candidate, SMH 27 July, p.2 col.7. The SMH results on 28 July are also confusing, the results calling him a selected Ministerial candidate, but the accompanying report referring to him as a Federalist. The Telgraph's results pages referred to him as an Independent.
