Notes: Lachlan did not appear in any of the SMH's list of selected candidates, but the Australian Star did list JJ Miller as a selected Protectionist candidate. Miller was also listed as an Independent Labor candidate in the Australian Workman, while the Worker listed him as a Labor candidate until 30 June and a modified pledge Labor candidate in the 7 July Brisbane Worker. The DT called him Independent Labor, the SMH candidate listing his as an Independent. Give the ties between the Protectionist leanings of the Star, as well as Miller's candidacy at other election, the affiliation adopted is Protectionist. Huie was included in the lists of the radical Free Trade and Land Reform Association.
