The SMH only printed a series of updated margins, Turner ahead by 150 votes (14 Sep), 140 (14 Sep), 167 with a report of the declation of poll delayed until 17 Sep (15 Sep) and winning by 160 votes (18 September 1888, p.7 col.6)
