Notes: James McGirr was a sitting MP for Cootamundra. He had been dropped as Labor candidate by his local branches, head office choosing to nominate him for Cumberland despite local branches having already chosen three candidates. As a result, Labor nominated four candidates, though the fourth candidate Anderson was often dropped from Labor how-to-vote material. Sitting Labor MP for Cumberland Voltaire Molesworth retired.
