Notes: Appointed to replace the late William Millard who had been appointed following a previous vacancy. Note that Perkins had not been a candidate in Goulburn at the 1920 election. The Parliamentary Elections (Casual Vacancies) Act had to be amended before an appointment could be made to take account of vacancies where a party had no further candidates on the ballot paper. This was the only occasion on which this provision was used.
