Notes: Harding was not included in the SMH list of selected National Federal candidates on 22 July, but was listed as a Bartonite in the Australian Star listing 26 July. He was listed as a Federalist in both the SMH and Telegraph results. There are conflicting listings for Counsell on results pages so he has been listed as an Independent. His name was clearly listed by the Returning Officer as Charles Counsell.
