(2) Why won’t the Government commit to financial support for councils to ensure this program works?

(a) Was any underspend reinvested into the app?

Answer -

I am advised

(1) The Fire Near Me app does not feed into the One Road App. Data from the NSW Rural Fire Service’s Fires Near Me app feeds into the Live Traffic NSW.

(a) Live Traffic NSW provides real-time information about changed traffic conditions on roads throughout NSW. OneRoad was designed to enable councils to share local road incident information directly to Live Traffic NSW.

(2) The NSW Government continues to work with councils and the program is progressing as planned.

(3) There was no underspend for Financial Year 2022-23.
