REGIONAL ROADS AND TRANSPORT RECOVERY PACKAGE - ACCREDITED LIST

(1) Can the Minister please list the councils that are accredited to do Road Maintenance Council Contracts work?

Answer -

I am advised

In total, there are 96 Councils in regional New South Wales, 65 councils have a Road Maintenance Council Contract and 31 councils do not have a Road Maintenance Council Contract. The current Conditions of Road Maintenance Council Contract require the council to hold R2 Prequalification.

Of the councils with a Road Maintenance Council Contract, four councils do not hold R2 Prequalification. Narrandera Council has advised that it will cease participation in Road Maintenance Council Contracts from 1 September 2023. Shellharbour City Council, Lachlan Shire Council and Orange City Council are actively preparing applications to seek prequalification. Transport for NSW is working with these councils to achieve prequalification.
