(1) Can the Minister advise have works begun for the Gilgandra to Coonamble Fixing Country Rail project?
(a) When are works expected to be completed for this rail project?
I am advised
(1) Yes, noting that the former Liberal-National government handed down the worst financial position government in the States history. The incoming government has inherited in excess of $7 billion in unfunded programs and $187 billion in debt over the forward estimates. The State and Federal governments are currently reviewing programs in light of the former Liberal-National government’s financial mismanagement and history of cost overruns.
