INFRASTRUCTURE AUSTRALIA REVIEW

(1) Regarding the Commonwealth Government's review into major infrastructure projects:

(a) Has the Minister met with the Federal Minister for Infrastructure?

(b) Has the Minister met with Federal Minister for Transport?

(c) Has the Minister met with the Federal Minister for Regional Development and Local Government?

(2) Has the Minister received any departmental advice, briefings or reports on the Infrastructure Australia Review and will she make them public?

(3) Does the Minister believe the Singleton Bypass, Muswellbrook Bypass, and Great Western Highway Upgrade (east, west and central) should remain on the Infrastructure Priority List?

(4) Should any projects in regional New South Wales be taken off the Infrastructure Priority List?

(a) Can the Minister confirm that the state’s 20 per cent will not go into infrastructure projects in Western Sydney?

(5) Does the Minister have any new projects that she will submit to Infrastructure Australia?

(6) Should any projects in regional New South Wales be taken off the Infrastructure Priority List?

(a) Can the Minister confirm how she will make up the job losses?

(7) Has the Minister met with Civil Contractors Federation regarding the Infrastructure Australia review?

(8) Has the Minister met with any contracted companies or subcontractors working on the any of the major infrastructure projects subject to the Infrastructure Australia review?

(9) Will the Minister commit to finishing the east and west sections of the Great Western Highway regardless of the outcome of the Infrastructure Australia review?

(10) Has the Minister met with Ron Finemore Transport, Linfox, Fletchers International, or any other logistic and freight companies regarding the Great Western Highway upgrade?

(11) Has the Minister met with local councils based in the Central West regarding the Great Western Highway upgrade?

(12) Has the Minister met with Central New South Wales Joint Organisation regarding the Great Western Highway?

The Federal Government is conducting a 90-day review of federally funded infrastructure projects. The NSW Government will work with the Federal Government on the outcomes of the review. The NSW Government is working to ensure a sustainable and funded pipeline of value-adding projects across the state.

Future projects for the infrastructure pipeline will be considered as part of the independent review of the Infrastructure Investment Program. This is due for completion in September 2023.

(9)  The Medlow Bath and Coxs River Road Upgrades are now progressing, with construction underway.

The NSW Government has undertaken a Strategic Infrastructure Review, an independent review of the infrastructure pipeline, including the Great Western Highway Upgrade Program. The proposed Katoomba to Blackheath and Little Hartley to Lithgow upgrades are currently paused pending outcome of the Strategic Infrastructure Review and further consideration by both the NSW and Australian governments.
