To the President and Members of the Legislative Council, the petitioners of New South Wales state that the 3-month and 6-month NSW Discovery Passes once made regional and long-distance travel genuinely accessible. Their removal has left only 14-day and 30-day options — significantly more expensive, inflexible, and poorly suited to the realities of regional and interstate travel across the full NSW TrainLink network. The petitioners request that the House call on the Minister for Transport to reinstate the affordable 3-month and 6-month Discovery Passes, or introduce an equivalent long-term option without further delay. These passes supported students, young people, and low-income travellers — connecting communities to education, medical care, work, and family.
