CHAPTER 13 - AMENDMENTS
157. After a question has been proposed by the Speaker, it may be
amended by:
(1) the omission of words:
"That the words proposed to be left out stand part of the
question".
(2) the omission of words in order to insert or add other words:
"That the words proposed to be left out stand part of the
question".
- If resolved in the affirmative the amendment is disposed of;
- If negatived the question proposed is "That the words to be inserted (or
added) be so inserted (or added)".
(3) the insertion or addition of words:
"That the words proposed to be inserted (or added) be so inserted (or
added)".
