Join investigative journalist for The Sydney Morning Herald Kate McClymont and the ABC‘s Exposed – The Ghost Train Fire Caro Meldrum-Hanna together with The Ethics Centre Executive Director Dr Simon Longstaff AO for this session on Blowing the Whistle. Come behind the scenes on their exposés to explore the craft and ethics of the investigative process. Drawing on decades of journalistic experience, they share insights into some of the successful and less successful cases. They’ll also consider what Australia’s new media laws might mean for the profession, for truth-telling and Sydney’s reputation as the defamation capital of the world.

This session will be held in NSW Parliament House in the Stranger’s Room – a room not usually available to the public. Parliament House will throw open the door to the public this evening and everyone is free to wander around the hallowed halls.
