Parlimento: The Exhibition

From historic dining menus to everyday items used beyond the chamber, Parlimento: The Exhibition explores how Australia's oldest Parliament has worked and evolved over more than two centuries.
Drawing on the Parliamentary Heritage, Collections and Archives, the exhibition and supporting public program, brings together selected items not usually on display - including tableware, sporting memorabilia and objects connected to the buildings and state's history. Together, these offer insight into how the Parliament of NSW has functioned as a working institution.
The exhibition complements rich digital content accessed through the Parlimento website, an evolving public resource that makes selected collection and archival material publicly available online.
Join the specialists who researched, selected and interpreted the objects featured in the exhibition for a series of free 30‑minute Spotlight Talks. Each session explores selected objects, records and themes from Parliament ‘s Collections and Archives and includes an opportunity for questions.
This exhibition is being hosted at NSW Parliament by the Hon Ben Franklin, President of the Legislative Council.
How to see the exhibition
Visit the free exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays, 9am to 5pm from 1-30 July 2026. Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse.
