Background Paper No. 02/2007 by Antony Green
This paper has been prepared as a preliminary analysis of the results of the 2007 New South Wales election. It contains details of voting for all Legislative Assembly districts, summary tables analysing estimated two-party preferred swing, and an overall summary of results for the Legislative Council.
A final version of this paper will be prepared at a later date with more detail on the two-party preferred vote, as well as analysis of preference distributions (Background Paper No. 01/2008 2007 New South Wales Election: Final Analysis). As at previous elections, separate publications will be produced with details of two-candidate preferred counting by booth (Background Paper No. 02/2009 New South Wales Legislative Assembly Elections 2007: Two-Candidate Preferred Results by Polling Place), as well as detailed analysis of the Legislative Council (Background Paper No. 09/2009 New South Wales Legislative Council Election 2007).
Advice on legislation or legal policy issues contained in this paper is provided for use in parliamentary debate and for related parliamentary purposes. This paper is not professional legal opinion.
