Visualising NSW Electorates: JobSeeker recipients (Dec 2021)

This publication uses old electorate boundaries and is obsolete

The JobSeeker Payment (ages 22 to 64) and Youth Allowance (Other) (ages 16 to 21) are available to people who are looking for work, or who are sick or injured and temporarily unable to do their normal work or study. The graphs, map and table show JobSeeker recipient (total JobSeeker Payment and Youth Allowance (Other)) numbers for NSW, and estimates for all 93 NSW electorates (2013 Redistribution). The map also provides detail on each payment type for each electorate. Explore the data further by downloading JobSeeker estimates for March 2019 to December 2021 and by reading about the connection between JobSeeker and unemployment data.

JobSeeker data changed from quarterly to monthly from June 2020 onwards. Ranks are based on the proportion of the population who are JobSeeker recipients. The table can be filtered by clicking on the column headings or by using the search function.
