Introduction
The annual review provides an opportunity for the Committee on Children and Young People to review the Advocate for Children and Young People and the Children's Guardian's exercise of their legislative functions. The Committee will report its findings and any significant matters to both Houses of Parliament.
The Committee's oversight function in relation to the Advocate and the Children's Guardian can be found in the Advocate for Children and Young People Act 2014 and the Children's Guardian Act 2019.
