'Energy from waste' technology

Introduction

This inquiry was established on 6 April 2017 to inquire into and report on matters relating to the waste disposal industry in New South Wales, with particular reference to 'energy from waste' technology.

The terms of reference for the inquiry were extended on 10 August 2017 to include the prevalence and scale of illegal dumping across New South Wales, the transportation of waste outside of the state, and the sustainability of the current waste and landfill regime in New South Wales. The committee is inviting further submissions that specifically address the updated terms of reference. The closing date for submissions is Sunday 10 September 2017.
