2017 Review of the Annual Reports of the Advocate for Children and Young People and the Children's Guardian

Introduction

Under section 37 of the Advocate for Children and Young People Act 2014 the functions of the Committee on Children and Young People include examining each annual or other report of the Advocate and reporting to both Houses of Parliament on any matter appearing in, or arising out of, any such report.
Terms of reference
The functions of the Committee include reviewing the Advocate's annual reports, and monitoring and reviewing the Children’s Guardian's exercise of functions under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
