Commercial fishing in New South Wales

Introduction

This inquiry was established on 17 November 2016, to inquire into and report on commercial fishing in New South Wales.

The Fisher Care Line provides free counselling to fishers experiencing stress during the reform process, and can be contacted at admin@mhri.com.au or (02) 9592 0451.

For advice regarding the reform, fishers can contact the Commercial Fisheries Business Adjustment Hotline (1300 726 488), The Rural Assistance Authority Hotline (1800 678 593), and the Department of Primary Industries’ Rural Financial Counsellors (1800 686 175).
