Introduction
A statutory function of the Committee is to examine each annual or other report of the Commission and report to both Houses of Parliament on any matter appearing in, or arising out of, any such report. Also note: a reference in this section to the Commission includes a reference to the Child Death Review Team. (Section 28 (1)(c) & (4) Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998)
During its meeting on 9 February 2010, the Committee resolved to postpone the review of the Commission's Annual Report until after the appointment of a permanent Commissioner for Children and Young People.
