An Act to amend the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 to provide that, in determining the appropriate sentence (including the setting of a non-parole period) for a child sexual offence, the court is to have regard to the sentencing practices applicable at the time of sentencing rather than at the time of the commission of the offence
