Royal Far West celebrates 100 years of Caring for Country Kids in new exhibition at NSW Parliament

Be moved by this collection of incredible photographs and celebrate 100 Years of Caring for Country Kids. The exhibition showcases the rich history and enduring impact of Royal Far West, an organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of country children for over a century.

On display throughout March in NSW Parliament’s Fountain Court, the exhibition tells the story of Royal Far West through historical photographs of its people and the children whose lives the organisation has touched.

James Griffin MP, Member for Manly who is hosting the exhibition at NSW Parliament House, said “Royal Far West has played a vital role in supporting children and families in rural and remote communities for 100 years. This exhibition is a testament to their incredible work and a celebration of their lasting legacy. I encourage everyone to visit and gain insight into this remarkable organisation’s contribution to the health and wellbeing of our country kids."

Royal Far West CEO, Jacqueline Emery, expressed her deep gratitude for the opportunity to share the charity’s rich history with a wider audience. "We are honoured to present this exhibition at NSW Parliament House. It not only commemorates 100 years of improving the health and wellbeing of children from country NSW, but also recognises the families, communities, health professionals, supporters and governments, who have helped us make play such a vital role in bringing these services to hard to reach places with limited access to local supports."

See 100 Years of Caring for Country Kids on weekdays, between 9am and 5pm at NSW Parliament House (6 Macquarie Street, Sydney) until March 27. Entry is free.
