Lawyer (solicitor). Arrived in New South Wales c.1852. Educated at Sydney Grammar School and University of Sydney. Admitted to practise as a solicitor in 1870. Settled at Bega in 1871 and became a senior partner in firm of Rawlinson and Bland. Acquired land in the area.
