Qualifications, occupations and interests
Shopkeeper. At an early came to Sydney and settled in the Balmain area. Educated at Christian Brothers' College in Rozelle. Initially employed in the family business. Before and after 1939 until 1945 war held a managerial position with Coles and Co; served in Royal Australian Engineers from 1939 until the 1945 war. Ran a delicatessen in Rozelle. Member of Shop Assistants Union in 1960; trustee of the National Park.
Military Service
Became a Sergeant in the war.
