About the Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct aims to assist members of the NSW Parliament in performing their parliamentary duties and obligations to the House, their electorates and the people of NSW.

Members are required to base their conduct on a consideration of the public interest and avoid conflict between personal interest and their duties as a member of Parliament.

Code of Conduct for Ministers of the Crown

In addition to the Code of Conduct for members, ministers must abide by the Code of Conduct for Ministers of the Crown. The Code of Conduct for Ministers of the Crown is the responsibility of the Executive Government. Members of the public should contact the Department of Premier and Cabinet for a copy of the Code.
